The company that produces Mendeley is promoting a new version of their product called Mendeley Reference Manager.
As of September 2022, the previous version − Mendeley Desktop − is no longer being made available for download directly from the vendor website, however it will continue to be available for install via AHS' IT Service Hub. Existing users (and new users) of Mendeley Desktop will not be affected and can continue to sign into, use and sync their data.
Unfortunately at this time, AHS users will be unable to transition to Mendeley Reference Manager, as Mendeley Cite, the in-text citation tool needed for Word, is only available as a download from the Microsoft Store. These types of installs are currently restricted organizationally and we are awaiting support from the vendor to find an alternate way to make these files available for institutions like ours.
