Aug 25/2022 - New annual access codes have arrived! 
Please use the instructions below to access the newly updated codes on the Lexicomp site.

Lexidrug mobile apps give on-the-go access to clear, concise, and relevant drug and clinical information. To use Lexidrug on your device, you will be required to create a Lexidrug personal account (using your work email) and obtain an access code provided by Lexidrug (expires annually). 

How to update your expired Lexidrug Access Code:

 

Note: Updating requires a few different steps:
a) Logging on to the non-app version of Lexidrug with your personal username and password
b) Copying/pasting the new access code to your account while logged in above on a computer, and
c) Going back to your device, entering a new PIN and tapping the update icon in the app.

 

1. Access Lexidrug from an AHS/Covenant Health computer, or sign in to Lexicomp remotely using your AHS/COV login.

2. Click on the "Mobile App Codes" icon at the bottom of the right-hand column:

You will be asked to select your device, and whether you are new (installing for the first time) or existing customer (already have the app and need a new access code), and be provided with an ACCESS CODE and instructions (Note: If you are unable to view the onscreen instructions, you may have success with an alternate web browser such as Firefox or Chrome.)

Step 1 - Add Subscription to Your Account

  1. Visit https://www.lexi.com/account/.
  2. Enter your Email Address and Password; click Log in.
  3. In the Subscriptions section, locate Add a Subscription by Code.
  4. Copy the Authorization Code from the instruction page; click Add Subscription.
  5. You will receive an email with a 5-character PIN at your registered email address. *You may need to request this twice to receive the email!
  6. Enter the PIN into the Verify PIN field; Click Verify.
  7. Click Finish.

Step 2 - Update Mobile Device

  1. Open the Lexidrug app on your device.
  2. Tap the Update icon, place checkmarks next to the databases you wish to update, or tap Select All and then tap Update.
  3. After the update is complete, tap the Lexidrug icon in the lower right corner.
  4. Select an icon to begin accessing your Lexidrug Mobile App subscription.

 

 

How to install the Lexidrug mobile app:

 

Note: Installing the app requires a few different steps:
a) Creating a personal username and password in the non-app version of Lexidrug  
b) Copying/pasting the new access code to your account while logged in above on a computer  
c) Installing the app from the app store to your device, and 
d) Logging into the app with your new username/password and running the update within the app.

 

1. Access Lexidrug from an AHS/Covenant Health computer, or sign in to Lexidrug remotely using your KRS barcode/pin.
 

2. Click on the "Mobile App Codes" icon at the bottom of the right-hand column:

Step 1 - Add Subscription to Your Account

  1. Visit http://www.lexi.com/account/.
  2. Click on the Create Account button to create your new Lexidrug account. Enter your registration information and click Create Account. You must register with your AHS affiliated organizational e-mail address (@ahs.ca, @covenanthealth.ca, ect). You will need this email and password again during step 2 of these instructions to sign in to your account on your phone.
  3. Click Log in now.
  4. Enter your Email Address and Password; click Log in.
  5. In the Subscriptions section, locate Add a Subscription by Code.
  6. Copy the Authorization Code from the instruction page; click Add Subscription.
  7. Once you receive a successful activation message, follow the steps below.
    • If you receive a "The product code is not valid" message, please confirm the code was entered correctly and try again.

Step 2 - Mobile App Installation

  1. On your iOS device, tap on the App Store icon and search for Lexidrug, or on your Android device, tap the Play Store icon and search for Lexidrug.
  2. Select Lexidrug and tap Get or Free, or Install.
  3. Open the Lexidrugapp on your device.
  4. Please read the license agreement and tap Accept.
  5. Enter your email and password and tap Sign In. If you forgot your password, click Forgot Password.
  6. If prompted, please select SD Card for database storage.
  7. You will receive an Account Synced message. Tap OK to this message.
  8. You must download the databases before you can begin accessing your subscription.
  9. Place checkmarks next to the databases you wish to install, or tap Select All and then tap Update.
  10. If prompted, tap OK.
  11. After the update is complete, tap the Home icon in the lower right corner.
  12. Select an icon to begin accessing your Lexidrug Mobile App subscription.

The contractual agreements that we have with the vendors of subscribed resources do NOT extend to sharing the mobile access codes; nor do they allow access by unauthorized users, or continued use for employees no longer with AHS.

All AHS employees must use their AHS-affiliated work email address to set up personal access to the Lexicomp mobile app (eg. @albertahealthservices.ca, @ahs.ca, @covenanthealth.ca, @capitalcare.net.)

Any accounts that are or continue to be registered using personal or non-AHS email addresses will be subject to cancelation by Lexicomp at any time, and without notice.
