The new calendar and fiscal year points in January and April are renewal times for most KRS subscriptions to databases and ejournals.

For 2024 we have made changes in anticipation of expected budget cuts. We are, however, confident that our document delivery/ interlibrary loan service will be able to efficiently provide articles to you from the affected ejournals subscriptions. We also suggest creating alerts to keep you aware of what is being published in your favourite titles.

2024 Collection Changes

We know many will feel the loss of Embase. It was chosen because there is much overlap with Pubmed/Medline but we recognize it has unique content and search capabilities, especially in the area of Pharmacy/Drugs.
UPDATE JUNE 25, 2024: We have been able to reinstate Embase this week. Yay!

We have also cancelled several full-text journal packages including:

Ebsco’s Medline Complete journal package (just the full-text aspect)
Ebsco’s Psychology and Behavioral Sciences journal package
Wiley's Medicine & Nursing journal package

as well as the following individual titles, based on cost and usage statistics:

American Journal of Epidemiology
International Psychogeriatrics
International Journal of Surgical Pathology
Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology
Journal of Critical Care
Journal of Autism & Developmental Disorders
