About Chat with Us
Chat with Us is a chat service, giving AHS staff live, online support for any of our resources and services.
Who staffs this service?
Our service is staffed by Knowledge Resource Service (KRS) staff throughout the province. We also provide service in person or over the phone. As we do help a lot of clientss, there may be slight delays in responding to your chat requests. But, we make every effort to respond to all inquiries in a timely fashion.
What are the hours of operation?
Our chat service is available Mondays – Fridays, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. We are closed weekends and holidays.
Who can use the KRS Chat Service?
Our chat reference service is intended for Alberta Health Services staff. If you do not fall into pur client group, we will refer you to an appropriate service and suggest that you contact your local library for assistance.
Do you save the transcripts?
Transcripts may be retained for research and evaluation purposes. Any personal information will be removed from messages before transcripts are evaluated.
Which Chat software do you use?
We use Springshare LibChat software to manage our chat reference services.
To chat with us you can use chat widget on the right side of the KRS web page. Simply click the "Chat with Us" button.
